Global Sustainability Leaders Scholarship
Our exciting new undergraduate scholarship scheme is focused on creating a community of global sustainability leaders of the future.
Up to 400 scholarships are available per year for high-achieving students from the UK and overseas. Each scholar will receive £6,000 a year, for up to four years of full-time study on their course (subject to terms and conditions), for maintenance and living costs.

Reading Excellence Scholarship - Undergraduate 2026/27
We’re pleased to announce that 80 scholarships worth £5,000 each will soon be available for incoming international undergraduate students!
These scholarships are designed to support talented students from around the world as they begin their academic journey with us.
Before applying for the Reading Excellence Scholarship - Undergraduate, please read our Guidance on Completing the Scholarship Application Form for helpful information about the application process.
Key information:
- To apply for funding, a candidate must have received an offer of admission to one of our undergraduate courses (including integrated master's courses) for entry in the academic year 2026/27. The scholarship application form will be made available to eligible students via the me@reading applicant portal, and will be accessible up until the closing date.
- The scholarship will take the form of a tuition fee reduction of £5,000 and will be applied to each year of study.
- Recipients must be classified by the University as an International student for fees purposes.
- Scholarships are awarded primarily based on previous academic accomplishment.
- The scholarship cannot be combined with the Global Sustainability Leaders Scholarship.

IFP Ambassador Scholarships
Applications for IFP Ambassador Scholarships are open to all non-sponsored, international-fee-paying International Foundation Programme (IFP) students.

Built Environment Undergraduate Scholarships for 2026 entry
Undergraduate students joining the School of the Built Environment in 2026 may be eligible for a £1,000 scholarship for each year of study (subject to conditions for 2026 entry).
The Lorna Webber Vipond Arts Scholarship
The Lorna Webber Vipond Arts Scholarship was created following the untimely death of Lorna Webber (nee Vipond), a much-loved local artist and teacher. One scholarship of £4,000 (£1,000 for each year of study) is available to support a local UK undergraduate student studying art at the University of Reading.
PwC Flying Start Degree Bursary
PwC are offering £10,000 bursaries to students joining the BA Accounting and Business – The Flying Start Degree Programme. The bursary is available to support living costs.
University of Reading Sanctuary Scholarships
The University of Reading welcomes all students with the academic ability to succeed on our degree programmes, regardless of their background.
We are committed to supporting those who face barriers to accessing university, including sanctuary seekers (people with refugee, humanitarian protected or asylum seeker status).
Through our Sanctuary Scholarships scheme, we support sanctuary seekers, helping them with the costs of higher education through bursaries and fee waivers.

Stationers' Foundation Bursaries for BA Graphic Communication
The Stationers’ Foundation, through The Department of Typography & Graphic Communication, offers small bursaries (Financial Assistance Awards) to applicants from the United Kingdom who have been offered a place on our BA Graphic Communication programme, or who currently study on the course.
Amounts awarded range from between £2,000 to around £7,000.
Awards are on merit, although applicants must be UK residents and must demonstrate financial need and an alignment to the interests of the Stationers' Foundation (interests in book design, printing and publishing tend to align to these interests most directly, although all students in the Department can be considered).

The Stationers' Foundation Bursary is paid directly to successful applicants. The deadline for applying is 23.59 GMT on 31 July 2025.
To be considered for this Bursary, you first need to have received an offer from the University of Reading to study BA Graphic Communication, or already be studying on the course.
The Bursary application form will be made available to eligible students via the me@readingapplicantportal or directly from the Stationers’ Foundation and will be accessible up to the closing date. Both Unconditional and Conditional offer holders may apply to this scholarship, however to accept the scholarship any conditions will need to have been met.
Reading Real Estate Foundation bursary
Reading Real Estate Foundation (RREF) provides a range of undergraduate bursaries and hardship grants to students who will not be able to complete the course without financial assistance.

RREF also provides a travel bursary of up to £1,000 for undergraduate students based on based on a demonstration of financial need due to undertaking a study abroad placement. Information about the RREF Travel Bursary can be found on our RREF financial support page.
