Amy's Clearing story

Amy talks about her experience of applying to Reading through Clearing in this short video.

I am so grateful that I came to Reading through Clearing. It was the best decision I made. I've really made the most out of university and thrown myself into every opportunity, which I may not have done at my firm choice. I love my course and I feel like it's at the right level for me.

What is Clearing?

Clearing is a way of applying to university during the summer, once you have all your exam results. Course availability varies each year and between universities, but Clearing can offer new opportunities – even if your options were limited earlier in the year.

You might use Clearing if:

  • you're applying to university for the first time
  • you’ve changed your mind about what or where you want to study
  • you did better than expected and want to explore new options
  • you didn’t get into your firm or insurance choices and need a new place.

Whatever your reason, the University of Reading has some great opportunities, and we’re excited you’re considering us.
