Throughout the course, you will gain insight into professional practice by carrying out placements in various settings, such as GP practices, hospital pharmacies and community pharmacies.
Placements are an essential part of your training. They are compulsory and start in your first year of study.
Your placements will require travel of up to one and a half hours each way, and may incur accommodation as well as travel costs.
We hold an annual Pharmacy careers fair on campus, attended by numerous employers, which will help you find placements, work experience and job opportunities.

Our MPharm course is accredited by the General Pharmaceutical Council, the UK’s pharmacy regulator. This means that when you graduate you can go on to complete a Foundation Training Year, then register as a Pharmacist Independent Prescriber.
Our MPharm Pharmacy course brings the latest techniques and research into the classroom, lab and clinical space. We encourage you to work independently and collaboratively, using simulations and digital technologies to support your learning.
