COVID-19: expert comment on the pandemic

  • Dr Simon Clarke (Biological Sciences) was quoted by Biospace about the Omicron subvariant XE; and a clip from a previous interview was played by BBC World Service / BBC Radio 4 explaining why our bodies produce different antibodies after a vaccine compared to Covid-19 infection.

#PlanetPartners: working with global partners to protect the environment 

  • Digital Journal further reports on recent University research that suggests the ozone has an overwhelming impact on the ocean's ability to absorb excess heat from the atmosphere.
  • Further coverage of an article on The Conversation by Dr Yuan Pan (Agriculture) about studio Ghibli films and environmental themes in Inverse.
