#PlanetPartners: working with global partners to protect the environment 

  • Bio Engineer, Eurek Alert, Mirage, and Sci Tech Daily report on new research from the University on the relationship between forest loss in India and climate change, and quotes the lead author of the study, PhD researcher Alice Haughan. Read our story. 
  • Professor Suzanne Gray (Meteorology) was interviewed on Acast's weekly podcast The Sunday 7 on the science of storms (at 2:57).
  • Elliott Rose-King, a student from the University, is mentioned by Bee Craft (in print) for his report on the awareness of the Asian hornet. 
  • Guernsey Press reports on Professor Ed Hawkins (Meteorology) and his climate stripes.

COVID-19: expert comment on the pandemic

  • Dr Simon Clarke (Biological Sciences) is quoted by Pedfire, True Viral News, Business Fast, Bloomberg Quint, and BNN Bloomberg on caution over dismantling all the UK's systems that have allowed for staying ahead of Covid, and he is quoted by Xinhua News, Big News Network, Herald Globe, Nampa, China.org, People's Daily and others on discrediting the mildness of Covid.
  • Professor Ian Jones (Biological Sciences) is quoted by The National News on the likelihood of severe Covid infections in children.
