Flood-proof home design: Dr Jess Neumann's (Geography and Environmental Science) collaborative design of a flood-proof UK home is shared by the Daily Mail, Knowledia, Today UK News, Germanic, What's New 2 Day, Public News Time, Express Digest, Mogaz News,Globo, and Big World Tale.

#PlanetPartners: working with global partners to protect the environment

  • Dr Rob Thompson (Meteorology) wrote an article for The Conversation about common misconceptions about rain and Reading.co.uk reposts. 
  • Snow Forecast reports that an Italian climate activist who is crossing the Atlantic is doing so by bike with Professor Ed Hawkins' (Meteorology) climate stripes displayed on its body, and Country Living lists Tammam scarfs featuring Hawkins' stripes as a good Christmas gift idea which funds climate science at the University.
  • Dr JamesRyalls (Agriculture) is quoted by Vegetable Farmer (in print) on University findings that suggest air pollution threatens natural pest control methods in sustainable farming. Read our news story.
