University of Reading appearing in news media including TV and radio

Viral flooding demo: Further coverage of Dr Rob Thompson's (Meteorology) viral online video which shows how droughts impact how the ground absorbs water on TV and radio by BBC Yorkshire and Lincolnshire and BBC Radio Humberside, and in print and online by Evening Standard, MSN, Yahoo!, The Paper, Green Me, Centre Presse, Archy Newsy, Linda, France Info, and Free.

#PlanetPartners: working with global partners to protect the environment 

  • Professor Hannah Cloke (Geography/Meteorology) is quoted by BBC Newsround, BBC Mundo, Daily Mail (and again), Yahoo!, News Colony, and Big World Tale on the impact of rain on the drought and the dangers of flash flooding.
  • Dr Rob Thompson (Meteorology) was interviewed by BBC World Service Radio on what causes weather, and his article on The Conversation on droughts is republished by Teesside Live.
  • The Spectator reports on the University's official rainfall recordings from January - July this year.
