University of Reading appearing in news media including TV and radio

#PlanetPartners: working with global partners to protect the environment 

  • BBC Radio Berkshire reports on Professor Ed Hawkins' (Meteorology) climate stripes which are on Reading gas-powered busses and on Reading FC's new home kit. Oxford Mail (in print), Falmouth Packet (in print), Pontypool Free Press (in print) and Daily Gazette (in print) also report on the Reading FC kit. Read our news story.
  • The Breeze Radio, India Education Diary and Reading.co.uk report on the University Atmospheric Observatory's official weather record for the heatwave, which broke all previous records. Dr Stephen Burt (Meteorology) and Professor Richard Allan (Meteorology) are quoted. 
  • PhD student Chloe Brimicombe (Geography/Walker Institute) is quoted by BD News 24, Vietnam Agriculture, Asia News Today, Geo News, and India Today on how well countries are equipped to deal with heat waves.
  • PhD student Jeff Da Costa (Geography) was interviewed by BBC Radio Berkshire on conserving water during the hot weather.

  • Financial Magazine interviews someone who is preparing to compete in a transatlantic rowing competition, and they mention Henley Business School's support. 
  • Birmingham Post (in print) mentions the experts from the University who are researching fossilised marine animal remains recently discovered on a farm in Gloucestershire.
