University of Reading appearing in news media including TV and radio

Ukraine:

  • Dr Alexander Mihailov (Economics) was interviewed on Bulgarian National Radio's 'Saturday 150' Programme, and by Fortune, on the Russian rouble, sanctions, and the war in Ukraine.
  • Dr Kenton White (Politics & International Relations) wrote an article for The Conversation on the coincidental nature of Nato's 'Cold Response' military exercises. The article is republished by Foreign Affairs, Big News Network, and Asia Times.

 

#PlanetPartners: working with global partners to protect the environment 

  • PhD researcher Chris Wyver is interviewed by BBC Radio Berkshire on the University's citizen science FruitWatch project, which aims to determine if climate change is causing fruit tree blooming to fall out of sync with pollinator activity.
  • New research, co-led by Dr Michaela Hegglin (Meteorology), on the impact of the ozone on the warming of the Southern Ocean is covered by Daily News. Read our news story.

COVID-19: expert comment on the pandemic

  • Dr Simon Clarke (Biological Sciences) was interviewed by BBC Radio 5, BBC Radio Three Counties, and BBC Radio WM on the UK government's approach to dealing with Covid by dropping all restrictions.
