Enrolling for your course
It's important that you complete in-person enrolment when you arrive on campus.
UK & Irish nationals
If you have completed your online enrolment, your next step is to get your Student Campus Card. Please make sure you bring a form of photo ID such as a passport, driving licence, provisional licence.
Enrolment will be open:
- Monday 29th September- Friday 10th October, 10am-4pm, Palmer G01.
- Monday 13th October onwards, 10am-4pm, Carrington Helpdesk.
Please note enrolment will not be open on Saturdays or Sundays.
International students:
Ensure you have completed your online enrolment and first fee payment. Once this is complete, check your enrolment progress on RISIS to direct you to the next stage. If your Online enrolment shows you require a Visa check, please visit our staff at the below enrolment sites for your Visa check and to complete your in person enrolment.
If you are an international student studying on a student route visa you must arrive and complete your in-person enrolment by the date specified on your Confirmation for Acceptance to Study (CAS). If you are unsure if you will be able to do this by the deadline, please contact Admissions to discuss your options, for Undergraduate applicants: ugadmissions@reading.ac.uk and for Postgraduate applicants: pgadmissions@reading.ac.uk.
Enrolment will be open:

- Enrolment is not open on weekends
Please bring:
- Your passport/travel document
- Evidence of current Immigration permission in the form of a Share Code generated for verification.
- If your passport was not stamped when you entered the UK we will also need evidence of your travel (boarding card, ticket, travel booking). This can be hard copy or shown on your phone or electronic device. If you are unable to bring any of the required evidence, please contact the International Student Advisory team before travelling to University for advice on what alternative documents may be accepted.
- For Campus Cards, go to Carrington Building reception, which is open 10am – 4pm Monday – Friday. Remember to take your photo ID with you.
- After collecting your campus card, Please login to RISIS to note your username.
If you are unable to bring any of the required evidence, please contact the International Student Advisory team before travelling to University for advice on what alternative documents may be accepted.
Checking into your campus accommodation
Students who have booked University accommodation to live in Halls will need to contact the Accommodation Office to notify them of your late arrival. You will need to advise them of your planned arrival date. You can do this by calling +44 (0)118 200 5011 or send them an email – please remember to give your full name, student applicant number and details related to your accommodation booking

- If you have any optional modules to select, please contact your Support Centre
- Students arriving after teaching has began are required to ensure they catch up with any missed teaching or assessments. It is your responsibility to do this. For advice on who you may need to speak to about this, please ask your Student Support Coordinator based in your Support Centre.
- If you have any IT problems accessing your University email account or any other IT related issues, please visit the IT Service desk which is based on the 1st floor in the Library.
