In-person enrolment

Welcome week has now finished

For students arriving and needing to complete in-person enrolment from Monday 28 September, please see our late arrivals information.

Please head straight to complete In-person enrolment as soon as you arrive to campus.

Once enrolled you can collect your Campus Card and access your university IT account, campus Wi-Fi (Eduroam) and the UoReading student app.

What to expect

At In-person enrolment you will have an ID check done. If you are a non UK/Irish national you will also have your permission to study in the UK check done, this is usually done by checking your visa or Immigration permission documents. We may also have to take a copy for your record.
Once your ID & visa check is completed, providing all online enrolment sections have been completed you can then collect your University of Reading Campus Card
The next step will be to log back into RISIS to collect your University username. Once you have your University user name, you will then be able to use this to access Wi-Fi, University email account, the student app and your timetable.
Download a map of Whiteknights campus and you can also access all maps digitally once your logged into the UoReading student app.

What to bring

British & Irish Nationals

Please make sure you bring a form of photo ID such as a passport, driving licence, provisional licence.

All other Nationalities

Please make sure you bring along:

• Your passport/travel document (original copy, photographs or copies not accepted)

• Evidence of your immigration permission:

- Share code for current eVisa; or

- Outstanding visa application made in the UK (e.g. completed form, application payment receipt, document checklist) and share code; or

- Proof of date of entry to the UK for Visitors without a share code

- Student visa holders whose permission was granted outside the UK must also provide proof of date of entry to the UK e.g. UK entry stamp in your passport or if your passport was not stamped, evidence of your travel (boarding card, ticket, travel booking). This can be hard copy or shown on your phone or electronic device.

If you are unable to bring any of the required evidence, please contact the International Student Advisory team before travelling to the University for advice on what alternative documents may be accepted.
