Don’t miss Reading on University Challenge!
20 September 2024
Students from various schools are set to represent Reading on Britain’s brainiest quiz show.
After holding a recruitment event in November 2023, the chosen team sailed through the selection process which led them to the official auditions in February this year.
They made a positive impression on the show’s producers and got through to the televised shows, which have now all been recorded.
The fantastic four will appear on the show on BBC2 on Monday 23 September at 20:30.
Vice-Chancellor Professor Robert Van de Noort said: “Our students did fantastically well to get through to the televised stage of University Challenge. It isn’t an easy feat by any means, but the team showed just how brilliant they are to get there.”
This year’s team follows in the footsteps of the University of Reading quartet that reached the University Challenge final in 2022.
