Reading Pride was celebrated in the town on Saturday 31 August 2024, with colleagues and students representing the University.

They took part in the Love Unites parade and festival in Kings Meadow, with the University’s LGBTQIA+ Staff Network and Reading Students’ Union running an information stand to share their work around celebrating diversity, support and allyship.

Dr Ruvi Ziegler, Co-Chair of the University’s LGBTQIA+ Staff Network, said: “Visibility really matters. It was wonderful to march on the streets of Reading with university staff, students, and the wider community in celebration of inclusion, diversity, and love.”
