About UoR pensions
Colleagues in Grades 2-5 are eligible to join the University of Reading Pension Scheme (URPS), run in partnership with Aviva. If you joined over the age of 22, you are likely to have been entered into the scheme as part of your contract of employment.
Colleagues in Grade 6 and above can join the Universities Superannuation Scheme (USS). Colleagues joining in these grades are, again, likely to have been entered into the scheme as part of your contract of employment.
A small number of colleagues, who joined the University before 2011, are members of the previous University of Reading Employees’ Pension Fund (UREPF), which was previously offered to colleagues in Grades 1-5.
