Out of hours IT helpline now available

IT assistance can now be accessed any time of day or night thanks to an extended telephone support service being launched.
Colleagues should use the usual support line number of 0118 378 6262, and if the call is out of hours it will be answered by our partner organisation, Norman Managed Services.
Norman is based out of Northampton University and already provides 24/7 support to more than 40 other higher education institutions.
It means general IT support, such as advice on Microsoft Teams, Blackboard, Eduroam WiFi, printing and email security, will be available to colleagues whenever they need it.
The Norman staff have access to information about our University systems, so they are able to answer specific questions relating to Reading.
If they can’t resolve the issue, they will raise a ticket for you to be picked up by DTS colleagues as soon as normal opening hours resume.
