Get involved in the Community Forum
17 October 2024
Our next Community Forum is coming up on 14 November and staff are invited to help make it a success.
The event brings together University representatives and local residents each semester to share updates about our research, community work and future plans. More importantly, it's an opportunity to hear directly from our neighbours their thoughts and ideas about the University.
Whether you live in the local community, or want to meet our neighbours, it’s the chance to talk informally with local residents about your work, learn what matters to the community and give your perspective on what the University brings to the town.
Molli Cleaver, Community Engagement Manager, said: “The people that make up our University are our best ambassadors. Nobody knows what we do better than our staff and we know that people in the local area value the chance to engage with their local university.
“Building connections on a human level really is the best way to help our neighbours understand and value what we do as an institution, and so I would love to see lots of our staff there on the day.”
The event takes place takes place at our London Road campus at 18:00 – 20:30 on Thursday 14 November 2024.
It’s free to attend and all are welcome, so tell your neighbours about this opportunity to find out more about what we do and our place in the local community. You can register online now.
