Digital Research Strategy: have your say in survey
14 October 2024
Colleagues leading and supporting research at the University are invited to give their input on our new Digital Research Strategy, currently being developed.
The strategy will enhance our service provision, support all stages of research development and enable innovation in digital research.
Research across all disciplines is becoming increasingly reliant on digital infrastructure and the pace of change means that a strategy for digital technologies and services to support the diverse needs of researchers is critical.
Our Digital Technology Services (DTS) colleagues are therefore aiming to develop an agile strategy, with flexibility built in to optimise the use of evolving technology and adapt to changing requirements over the coming years.
Investment in research infrastructure and support systems will also be considered, to enable innovation in digital research.
The plan is to publish the final strategy later this year.
Complete the survey
Following a series of in-person workshops in May, DTS are now looking to capture feedback from the wider research community through a survey.
The survey is open to researchers and professional services colleagues who support research – such as in Technical Services, Museums and Collections, Research Services or DTS – to capture your views and feedback.
Feedback from the workshops, and from this survey, will inform the final draft of the strategy.
The short survey should take less than 10-15 minutes to complete, and provides an opportunity to make comments.
Please respond by Friday 1 November 2024.
