Santa Run & Walk returns to campus

The Santa Run & Walk returns to Reading on Sunday 1 December, raising money for our Charity of the Year and other good causes.

A 2k mini run or walk starts at 10.30, followed by a timed 5k run starting at 11:00.

The event, organised by the Rotary Club of Reading and sponsored by the University, is open to everyone. You can purchase your entry at www.santarun.co.uk.

Children’s Charity the Rainbow Trust – our Charity of the Year - will be one of the charities that will benefit from the money raised, alongside local charity Thrive.

Road closures

The event takes place on a Sunday when campus is usually quieter, but here’s what you need to know in case you’re visiting campus to work, support the event – or take part.

From 10:00-12:00 on Sunday 1 December you will not be able to leave or enter Whiteknights Campus using your car. Please make sure you plan ahead if you are intending to visit campus or drive home over the weekend. Buses will also be redirected during the event
