Connecting with colleagues made easy

A popular scheme that brings University staff together is open for new participants.

Coffee with a Colleague offers a simple way for staff across our UK campuses to meet and get to know each other. Since its start in 2022, over 400 people have made more than 250 connections.

The scheme matches participants each month for an informal chat over coffee or a walk around campus. Once you’ve been matched, you decide when and where to meet between you. It's a chance to gain new perspectives and make connections outside your normal work circle.

The scheme had recently been on hold due to technical difficulties, but it’s up and running again, and ready to run new matches. If you haven’t joined in so far, why not sign up now for the March matching round? 

Vicki Aldmington, Careers Consultant, is one of the volunteers running Coffee with a Colleague. She said: "I love being part of Coffee with a Colleague, hearing the stories of new connections, collaborations and friendships made. This is a fun, easy way to get to know all sorts of people across our diverse University community."
