Winter Warmer appeal – donate spare warm clothes

Got any unwanted coats, scarves or gloves? You can donate them to the Winter Warmer appeal right here on campus.

The initiative is run by Reading Borough Council, in partnership with Reading Basingstoke Community Rail Partnership and Safer Streets, and gives donated warm winter clothes away for free at a shop at Reading station to those who need them.

The University is supporting the Winter Warmer again this year, having passed along donations last year.

Colleagues and students can drop off any donations at the Reading Students' Union Welcome Desk between 09:00-17:00 from Tuesday 9 January - Wednesday 17 January.

Anyone can visit the Winter Warmer shop at Reading station, Station Road, Reading, RG1 1LZ, from 10:00-17:00 between Tuesday 16 and Friday 19 January.

Colleagues can also help to sort donations or assist visitors to the shop by booking a volunteer slot online.
