Professional Services Awards: nominate a colleague
12 March 2024
A new awards scheme has been launched today (Monday 15 January) to recognise outstanding contributions made by Professional Services colleagues.
The Professional Services Awards add to the existing annual awards schemes open to Academic Services colleagues, meaning all colleagues can now be recognised for their work at the University.
Nominations are open now for the annual awards, with four prize categories available – one for each of our strategic principles of Community, Excellence, Sustainability and Engaged University.
Four winning colleagues will be announced at an awards ceremony in June, and each will receive a prize of £750 (minus tax) in their payslips. The names of all nominated colleagues will be published on the website.
The awards will be run and judged by a committee of Professional Services Working Group members. The new scheme resulted from conversations between the Vice-Chancellor and the Group on ways to better recognise the contribution of Professional Services roles and increase cohesion between colleagues across the University.
Who is eligible?
Any colleague in any Professional Services role across the University, including Henley Business School, can be nominated for an award.
Colleagues working in a professional services role within an academic school, such as a marketing, executive support or administration, are also eligible.
How to nominate
You can nominate yourself or another eligible colleague in any of the four categories.
Just fill out the online nomination form or ask your line manager for a printed copy.
The form asks for the name and role of the colleague you wish to nominate, along with why you think they deserve an award in one of the categories.
Please make your nominations by the 2 April 2024 deadline.
For more on the nomination process and FAQs, see the Professional Services Awards webpages.
