Online Courses Advisory Group members needed
15 January 2024
Two academic colleagues are being sought to join an advisory group that helps to shape the delivery of our short online courses programme.
The new members will join the Group for a three-year term of office, with an expected start date of May 2024.
About the Group
The Online Courses Advisory Group meets termly and advises on the direction of the University’s programme of FutureLearn courses.
The Group is contained within the Centre for Quality Support and Development (CQSD) and chaired by Professor Elizabeth McCrum, Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Education and Student Experience).
This is an exciting and dynamic area of activity, which involves collaborations with staff from across the University and prestigious external partners such as The British Council, EIT Food and The Royal Meteorological Society.
The academic members will help to identify and provide feedback on new course opportunities and ideas, and act as a critical friend with regards to progress and developments.
Our short online courses can be taken by all members of the public and completed in their own time over a few weeks. The University offers more than 30 courses, ranging from how farmers produce food sustainably to uncovering Roman Britain in museum collections.
