Early Career Researcher Conference - competition details

The whole of Reading’s research community is warmly welcomed to attend the Early Career Researcher Conference, hosted by the Doctoral and Researcher College.
The Conference takes place on 16 April 2024, 12:00-17:00 in the Meadow Suite, Park House, Whiteknights.
It offers the chance for early career researchers to connect with other researchers across different disciplines, view and share their research posters, and to present their research and win prizes by entering competitions in January.

Competitions
If you’re an early career researcher who would like to showcase your research, you could win a prize by entering one of the Doctoral and Researcher College’s Conference competitions.
Posters that have been produced for recent external (or internal) conferences can be re-used, if they meet the guidelines.

Entry deadline 29 February 2024.
Judge and People’s Choice awards are available to win in each category.
If your entry is accepted you will be informed in March and it will be part of the Conference, where the winners will be announced. The judging panel will be drawn from the University’s research community.
Eligibility – who can apply?
Early career researchers from all disciplines and research themes are invited to submit an entry on any aspect of their research.
The competitions are designed to support researchers on fixed term contracts by recognising and rewarding their research excellence and in accordance with the University’s commitment to the Concordat for Researcher Development.
The prizes are intended to support the next steps in their careers.
