Restricted building access during electrical shutdowns

Nine buildings on Whiteknights campus will be off limits at certain times on the morning of Saturday 7 September, as our Estates team carries out two electrical shutdowns.

The shutdowns will last for an hour and a half each. They are part of essential routine annual maintenance of our power network.

There can be no access to the affected buildings during the short periods without power, as fire alarms and other systems will not be working.

Please ensure that if you require access to these buildings during that weekend that you plan around these closures.

Shutdown 1 – 08:00-09:30

Shutdown 2 – 10:00-11:30

• Whiteknights House
• Archway Lodge
• Telephone Exchange
• Wager building
• Allen Laboratory
• Archaeology building
