Changes to Greenlands buses

From 1 September the 800 bus service between Reading and Greenlands via Caversham will be discontinued by the Carousel Bus company.

The Carousel Buses 850 service will continue to operate with a revised timetable and will maintain its current route from Reading through Wargrave and Twyford to Greenlands, as well as from High Wycombe and Marlow.

The Reading Buses Aqua 28 service, which launched this summer, runs between Reading town centre and Henley-on-Thames via Caversham, offering another option to change buses for onward travel to Greenlands.

The changes mean that there is no longer a direct route from areas north of Reading, including Caversham, Dunsden Green and Binfield Heath, to our Greenlands campus. Travellers will now need to change buses at Henley-on-Thames or Reading town centre to reach Greenlands.

While the discontinuation of the 800 service may present some changes, the 850 will still provide a reliable and efficient option for travel between Reading and Greenlands. We are actively engaged with Reading Buses and will be working with Carousel to continue improving bus service provision for the campus.
