Reading Half Marathon 2024

The Reading Half Marathon returns on Sunday 14 April 2024, and once again visits our Whiteknights campus.

There will be a buzzing atmosphere as thousands of runners make their way through the University grounds on their way to the finish line. If you’re planning to cheer on the athletes, why not come to campus?

We’d love to see lots of you encouraging the runners – including colleagues raising money for good causes.

Preparing for car park and road closures

Please bear in mind that there will be road closures around town and on campus, and parking is limited. Walk, cycle or use public transport if you can.

Shinfield Rd between Whitley Wood Road and Christchurch Road and the entirety of Pepper Lane will be closed 9.30-12.30

This means there will be no access to enter or leave Whiteknights Campus until after lunchtime.

Car Park 1A is also on the race route and so will be unavailable until later that afternoon.
