Community Festival volunteer opportunities
09 April 2024
Volunteers are being sought to help out at this year’s Community Festival on Saturday 18 May 2024.
This is the second year the Festival has been held, following a very successful inaugural event in 2023.
The free, family-friendly Festival welcomes local community members, students, staff, alumni, and partners onto campus for live music, exhibitions and research activities, as part of our strategic priority of being an Engaged University.

Volunteers needed
Volunteers are needed between 10:00-17:30. Timings and location will vary depending on the role allocated and shorter shifts are possible for those unable to work the full day.
Roles include being based at the information point, registering guests as they arrive and overseeing different activity zones at the event.
Training will be provided via Microsoft Teams in early May and a briefing will also be provided on the day of the event.
If you are interested in supporting this event and helping on the day, please fill out the Expression of Interest form by Wednesday 17 April.
If you are interested in volunteering opportunities at University events, but aren’t able to support on this occasion, keep an eye out for upcoming opportunities to support with Open Days (14-15 June) and Graduation (16-19 & 23-24 July).
