Armistice Day services
31 October 2023
Armistice Day services of memorial will again take place on our UK campuses this year.
The short services help us to remember and pay tribute to those who have made the ultimate sacrifice for their country as well as students and staff who have passed away over the last year.
Armistice Day falls on a Saturday this year, so colleagues are invited to gather on Friday 10 November at 10:50, at the following locations:
- London Road campus: Peace Garden.
- Greenlands campus: Flagpole near the cattle grid.
- Whiteknights campus: Flagpole between the Library and Whiteknights House.
The services will be hosted by a member of the University Executive Board, supported by the University Chaplaincy. A two-minute silence will be observed at 11:00.
They are open to staff, students and members of the local community of all faiths and none.
If you are teaching at this time, please be considerate of any students who wish to attend a service.
