Finance Director takes permanent seat at UEB

Andrew Grice, Director of Finance, has been made a permanent member of the University Executive Board (UEB).Andrew joined UEB as the University’s Senior Financial Officer on a temporary basis in October 2022, following the departure of CFO Sam Foley. The decision by Council this week (22 November) makes that arrangement permanent.

As the senior financial representative on UEB, Andrew provides the financial oversight to enable the University’s strategic vision, and helps ensure the financial sustainability of our activity.

He has also been instrumental in forming our approach to navigating through current financial challenges.

Andrew said: “I am delighted to be appointed on a permanent basis and will continue to work with colleagues to navigate both the challenges and opportunities the University faces.”

Vice-Chancellor Professor Robert Van de Noort said: “I thank Andrew for providing his expertise to UEB during the last year and am pleased to welcome him on a permanent basis.

“His is a strategically important role on the Board, helping to drive an ambitious plan for recovery and growth at a time of financial challenge.”
