Entries open for 2024 Research Output Prize
05 February 2024
Submissions are now open for the Research Output Prize 2024, which will be awarded at a research event in June 2024.
The University’s Research Output Prize recognises and celebrates excellent research work of early career researchers.
Work recognised by the judges of this year’s prize included research into the effects of air pollutants on visits from insects to flowers, the quality and turnover of soil to assess carbon levels, a new challenge to the philosophical problem of justification and how vocabulary learning is affected by listening to repeated words.
One prize will be awarded for each of the University’s research themes: Agriculture, Food and Health; Environment; Heritage and Creativity; and Prosperity and Resilience. Each Research Division can put forward one output for consideration for the prize; early career researchers can submit their own work for consideration to the Division, or can be nominated by their Research Division Leader.
If you would like to submit or nominate an output for consideration, we recommend that you contact Research Division Leaders in advance as they may have several requests in the run up to the submission deadline.
The deadline for submission of outputs by the Research Division is Monday 19 February 2024, although internal deadlines might be earlier depending on the Division’s selection mechanism.
The full guidance on making a submission is now available. If you have any questions, please contact the Research Dean's Office.
