Research culture survey: Professional Services views sought
24 May 2023
Professional Services colleagues working in research are being asked for their views about the culture of research at the University in a new independent survey.
The research is part of a wider project sponsored by the University Committee for Research and Innovation (UCRI).
Professional services are at the heart of research culture, working directly with academics as well as connecting them internally and externally. As such, professional services provide a critically important perspective on research culture, which is key driver of both research excellence and staff wellbeing.
Everyone who provides professional services for research at the University is invited to take to take part, and researchers are interested in people’s views at all career levels. The survey has been designed following a series of interviews and focus groups and seeks to capture the unique perspective of professional service staff.
How to take part
Professional research services staff can now fill in the online survey. It should take around 10 minutes to complete. The closing date for the survey is 12 June 2023.
While the survey is sponsored by UCRI, it is being conducted independently by colleagues at Henley Business School. Participation is voluntary, and confidentiality and anonymity of participants will be maintained.
Academic or research staff, including PDRAs, can share their views in a separate online survey.
