Parents invited to share their back-to-work experience
11 May 2023
Parents can share their experiences of returning to work after family leave and the support they received in a survey by the Parent and Family Network.
The Network is undertaking a project on return to work after family leave, including extended family leave (maternity leave, adoption leave, shared parental leave) and shorter family leave (childbirth/adoption support leave previously known as paternity leave).
The aim of the project is to produce a return to work pack and better understand how staff can be supported on their transition back to the workplace after a period of family leave.
Even for short periods of leave there may still be adjustment to a new work-life balance.
Any colleague who has returned from family leave since 2018 can fill in the online Return to Work survey and are encouraged to share it with other colleagues.
The survey should take around 10-15 minutes to complete and should be completed by the end of May.
You can find out more about the Parent and Family Network on the University’s diversity and equality webpage.
