Improving air quality
The University, which is an official supporter of Clean Air Day, has long been committed to supporting sustainable travel and has been championing initiatives to improve air quality.
Earlier in May, the University announced two major decarbonisation projects at the SportsPark and Energy Centre to replace old heating with sustainable heat pump technology. Between them, the improvement in air quality that the projects will deliver is the equivalent of taking 447 diesel cars off the roads each year.
We can all make changes that can make a big difference, including changes to the way that we travel and reducing energy consumption. For advice on making a sustainable switch for cleaner air, visit rdg.ac/OurFutureFirst.
