Project funding from Friends of the University
03 March 2023
Do you have a project that could benefit from a grant from the Friends of the University of Reading?
The voluntary group is offering funding for projects, and is particularly interested in those that will enhance University-community relations or help student or staff extra-curricular activities.
How to apply
If you have a suitable project, please send a short email describing your project and the amount of money requested to thefriends@reading.ac.uk as soon as possible and in any case by 4 April 2023.
The group will be in touch shortly after receiving your email to let you know if your project is eligible and whether further information is needed.
Final funding decisions will be made by the end of April and applicants will be informed immediately of the outcome.
If you would like further information see the grants page on the Friends of University of Reading website, where there is also a list of previous grants.
What is eligible?
As well as physical items and materials, funding can also be awarded for people's time, online work, events and other project resources.
Grant amounts usually range from around £200 to £2,000 and are only awarded to organisations, not to individuals.
Students are welcome to apply but should ensure that a member of University staff agrees with the application and can provide information on the University account that the grant is to be paid into.
