Get growing at the FlavUoR Garden

An edible garden on Whiteknights campus is being revamped, and colleagues are invited to pick up a trowel and take part.
Campus Catering and the Community Engagement team are hosting meetings for staff to find out more about opportunities to help develop and maintain the University's FlavUoR Garden.
The garden, between Eat at the Square and Park House, is a space to grow herbs and other edible plants to be used in meals served at the University, and educate visitors to campus about nutrition and sustainability.
The student-led project brings together staff, students and the local community in an effort to make the garden beautiful and more productive.
Gardening can be a good way to reduce stress levels, and time spent outdoors is beneficial for many people’s mental wellbeing.
How to take part
Colleagues can find out more about the opportunities to get involved by coming along to the FlavUoR Garden at:
- Tuesday 27 June 10:00-11:00
- Wednesday 12 July 10:00-11:00
Previous gardening experience is not a requirement. No commitment is needed at this stage – just come along and find out how to get involved.
