Annual Leave Purchase Scheme open

Colleagues again have the opportunity to purchase additional days of annual leave for the 2023/24 academic year.
The Annual Leave Purchase Scheme allows colleagues to purchase up to an additional 10 days of leave (pro rata for part-time staff), and spread the cost through the year through a deduction from their monthly salary.
The scheme, which is run via the Employee Self Service portal, has been used by many colleagues following its launch in 2021/22.
This scheme is available to everyone on a regular annual leave scheme, who book their annual leave through the online booking system on Employee Self Service. Applications will be subject to approval from line managers.
Colleagues not on a regular annual leave scheme (eg casual workers) are not eligible as the deductions would take their pay below the level of the National Minimum Wage or the change to their salary would impact visa eligibility.
How to apply
Applications under the scheme will be accepted during a single window, running from 1 July to 8 September.
Applications received after 8 September will not be considered. Colleagues can only apply once and only during the application open dates.
