Pro-Vice-Chancellor (International) applications open

Applications are invited for the vacant Pro-Vice-Chancellor (International) role at the University.
The executive-level position is being advertised internally and externally, following the retirement of the previous incumbent, Paul Inman, in November 2022.

An online information session, hosted by the Vice-Chancellor Robert Van de Noort, will take place on Monday 6 February from 11am-12pm. It can be accessed via this joining link.
The session will allow anyone interested to find out more about the role and ask questions. A recording of the session will be available on request after this date.
About the role
The Pro-Vice-Chancellor (International) is responsible for increasing the University’s global engagement, international profile and reputation.
They have specific responsibility for developing and implementing a strategic approach to successfully recruiting international students.
The successful candidate will be part of the University Executive Board, with collective responsibility for the day-to-day management of the University. They will report to the Vice-Chancellor.
The post requires frequent international travel and engagement with Henley Business School South Africa and the University of Reading Malaysia, as well as other international partner institutions in countries including the USA, China, Singapore, Japan, Italy and the Netherlands.
In keeping with the University’s commitment to a diverse and inclusive workforce, a part-time or job share arrangement would be considered.
Shortlisting and interview dates
Shortlisting for the Pro-Vice Chancellor (International) role will take place on 16 March 2023.
Shortlisted candidates will then be invited to present on a relevant topic to a Panel of University colleagues as part of the selection process, followed by formal interviews on 30 March 2023.
