Research survey to help shape agrifood strategy
10 January 2023
Researchers doing work relating to agriculture or food are being asked to highlight their work and share their views in a survey to help shape the future of agrifood research at Reading.
Part of the Agrifood Scoping Project, the short survey will help the Project team to understand the wide range of research expertise and interests across the University that relate to, or have the potential to relate to, agrifood.
Complete the AgriFood Research Activity Questionnaire form.
The Project is considering all research that relates to how the world can produce, and people are able to consume, a healthy, sustainable, affordable diet with the lowest possible environmental impact.
If your research relates to any aspect of this definition, or has the potential to, the team really wants to hear from you.
Survey questions
The survey is separated into essential questions and optional ones to help reduce the workload on colleagues as much as possible.
The essential questions will help paint a picture of the breadth and depth of research activity at the University relating to different aspects of agrifood.
The optional questions will contribute to revealing future challenges and opportunities for the University, so responses will be extremely valuable.
The survey will remain open until 27 January 2023.
Scoping Project aims
Many colleagues will have already met, or will soon meet, with the Agrifood Scoping Project team.
These meetings will largely cover the optional elements of the questionnaire, but colleagues are encouraged to complete the survey even if they have already shared their research details and views in the meetings.
This information will play an important role in shaping our future research strategy for agrifood and will inform how the resources of the NIRD Trust are invested.
The Project team is arranging workshops to be held in the spring term to share what is learnt through this survey.
