Watch again: All-staff talk on supporting global goals
24 February 2023
Work by University colleagues to combat global issues like poverty, inequality and climate change was presented in February's all-staff talk.
Professor Robert Van de Noort, Vice-Chancellor, led a discussion on Thursday 23 February with three colleagues whose work is supporting the UN Sustainable Development Goals, on campus, locally and globally.
Speaking during the session were:
- Matt Tebbit, Head of Bars and Dining, who explained how food served in our campus venues are designed using research and sustainable practices.
- Professor Carol Fuller, Head of School for the Institute of Education, who discussed her projects working with local communities to reduce inequality and poverty.
- Professor Rosalind Cornforth, Director of the University's Walker Institute, gave an overview of Walker's approach to increasing climate resilience and supporting adaptation worldwide.
A recording of the session is available here.
