Views sought on Professional Services career progression
25 April 2023
Professional Services colleagues are invited to take part in focus groups to help identify ways to better support those looking to progress their careers within the University.
The focus groups will be run by HR, and are scheduled to be held in May and June. They are a chance for colleagues to share their own experiences and views as well as contribute to new ideas for the future to support Professional Services colleagues at the University.
This is part of an HR-led initiative aimed at raising awareness of the opportunities currently available to Professional Services colleagues and identifying additional support and training that could be provided to assist those looking to make the next step in their career at the University.
It responds to staff feedback about perceived issues around career progression for professional services colleagues.
Focus Groups
Colleagues who take part in the focus groups will be required to attend one of a number of available group sessions, lasting no more than an hour. Refreshments will be provided.
Groups are expected to include 15-20 staff and will be facilitated by HR colleagues. All conversations will be confidential.
Participating colleagues will get feedback on how their views and ideas will be taken forward as potential new support resources for all staff, with opportunities for further input. Colleagues will be informed about the support that is developed as a result of this initiative.
If you feel you have information or experiences to share, please sign up to take part in one of the focus groups by 09:00 on Monday 15 May 2023 using the online form.
