Professor Katja Strohfeldt has been re-appointed as Teaching and Learning Dean (TLD).
As part of the TLD team, Katja will work with the Pro-Vice-Chancellors (Education and Student Experience) to provide leadership for education and the student experience across the University.
The role will see her supporting and overseeing teaching, learning and the student experience in collaboration with the relevant Schools Director of Teaching and Learning and the School Director of Academic Tutoring within the Schools of Agriculture, Policy and Development, Archaeology, Geography and Environmental Science, Built Environment, and Mathematical, Physical and Computational Sciences.
Professor Strohfeldt said: “The Teaching and Learning Dean role is incredibly rewarding. I enjoy working with the different Schools to drive the University’s strategic priorities in Teaching and Learning and making a real difference to the learning experience we provide to our students.”
Professor Elizabeth McCrum, Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Education and Student Experience), said: “I am delighted that we have appointed Katja for a second term in this role. With her prior experience in the role, it is clear she will continue to deliver dedicated and professional support to the T&L community.”
Katja was re-appointed following an open recruitment process for the six-year tenure, which was due to end on 30 June this year.
