2023 Research Awards shortlist announced
27 April 2023
We are delighted to announce the shortlisted entries for the 2023 Research Awards. This year’s Awards include new categories to celebrate research that addresses real-world problems and improves academic practice.
Work recognised by the judges ranges from: teaching for multilingual learners; exploring the cultural and societal shifts that characterised the world of Stonehenge; open access information on oceanic biological carbon from space; and developing diversity and inclusion training for use in policing.
Disciplines represented in the shortlist include Education, Environmental Science, Psychology, English Literature and International Business & Strategy.
Professor Parveen Yaqoob, Pro-Vice-Chancellor for Research and Innovation said: “We received over 50 strong entries to the Research Awards this year and the judging panel had to make some tough decisions to produce a shortlist that captured the very best of the University’s research output.
“The quality of the work demonstrates just how committed colleagues are to making a difference through their research, despite the challenges we have faced over the last couple of years.
“I am looking forward to the Awards event when we will showcase the creativity and far-reaching impact of their work.”
