We're launching two new RED awards
14 September 2022
At the start of the new academic year, we’re launching two new awards for students as part of the RED Award family.
The new awards build on the success of the RED award to date, and will support the University’s strategic focus on Sustainability and Engaged University.
What are the new awards?
- RED Sustainable Action Award – encouraging students to undertake activity in line with the UN Sustainable Development Goals
- RED Global Engagement Award – encouraging students to become more globally and culturally aware
Taking part in these awards will help students to further enhance their experience at Reading by getting involved in a variety of activities and developing their skills. Students will also be required to reflect on their experiences, helping to deepen their understanding.
The current RED Award will still also be on offer to students, making up a suite of three awards to choose from.
How can you help?
- Raise awareness of the RED Awards with any students you work with and encourage them to consider taking part in one (or more) of the awards.
- Let us know about opportunities across the university that have a sustainable/global link so we can offer these to students as part of the awards. Please complete our form if you are aware of any.
