USS pension scheme explained in staff briefing

A special briefing on the USS pension scheme has been arranged for Friday 18 November, to provide colleagues with information on the scheme and the opportunity to ask questions.

The briefing will take place ahead of proposed dates for industrial action by members of the University and College Union (UCU) in relation to a dispute over the USS pension scheme.

Presenting this briefing will be Professor Robert Van de Noort, Vice-Chancellor, Andrew Grice, Director of Finance, and Claire Rolstone, Interim Director of HR.

Among the topics they will cover will be the current benefit and contribution arrangements of the USS scheme and how these might be affected by next year's valuation process.
