University Council elections: Voting now open

Election for a member of Professional Services to serve on Council
Three candidates are in the running to be elected to the University Council from among Professional Services staff.
The Council is the University's executive governing body and meets at least four times during each academic year. It sets the University's strategic direction, ensures compliance with statutory requirements and approves constitutional changes.
The three Professional Services candidates are:
- Eleanor Draycott, Head of Customer Experience & Service Delivery
- Jay Flynn, Transactional Clerk School Finance
- John Jack, Project Manager (Technical Development)
Professional Services staff in Grades 1-9 are eligible to vote in this election. The successful candidate will serve for three years in the first instance from 1 January 2023.

Academic member of the Leadership Group appointed to Council
Professor Katja Strohfeldt, Teaching and Learning Dean, was the sole nomination from academic members of the University’s Leadership Group, and is therefore appointed to the Council. Her term begins on 6 February 2023 and will run until 5 February 2026.
