The emotional side of burning out
16 November 2022
A webinar exploring the contributing factors to burnout, what this does to us emotionally, and how we can set ourselves up to be as resilient as possible in trying times is available to colleagues this month.
Confidential Care, our Employee Assistance Programme provider, is hosting the one-hour session, titled The Emotional Side of Burning Out, on Tuesday 22 November 2022 at 16:00. Registration is now open.
Burnout is associated with prolonged workplace stress. The World Health Organization declared burnout to be an ‘occupational phenomenon’ in 2019.
Common symptoms include feelings of hopelessness or dread at work, increased cynicism or negativity, and feeling tired or drained all the time.
While the physical effects such as fatigue are well documented, the emotional impact of burnout can be overlooked.
