Location: The Cedars Hotel & Conference Centre, Whiteknights Campus, with a Teams meeting link option for remote joining

What is the D&I Community of Practice?
Colleagues have communicated that they would like a dedicated space to discuss D&I considerations within Teaching and Learning. This will include the awarding gap, decolonising the curriculum, and creating inclusive T&L settings. This D&I Community of Interest (COI) group will be co-chaired by the Dean for Diversity and Inclusion, Al Laville and Associate Professor at the Institute of Education, Billy Wong.
This June meeting, Dr Eileen Hyder, Academic Developer in the Centre for Quality Support & Development (CQSD) at UoR will be delivering a keynote exploring key themes in EDI in teaching & learning as well as discuss potential future direction. There will also be space for introductions and networking with colleagues who are interested in D&I work.
If you would like to come along to participate in the meeting, please email diversity@reading.ac.uk with any access and dietary requirements information.
If you would like to join the D&I CoI formally, please send an expression of interest to diversity@reading.ac.uk by 01 June.
