Updates on the TEF 2022 Exercise
08 June 2022
Following the TEF Consultation in March 2022, the University has been preparing for the TEF 2022 Exercise by engaging with key colleagues. Together, we are beginning to develop our submission; review the institutional and subject level TEF data and hold briefings with School leaders to understand the data. We have also established a Submission Writing Group and an Expert Reading Panel to act as a critical friend.
The OfS has recently provided an update on the plans for the implementation of TEF 2022. They are still considering the responses to the TEF consultation and expect to communicate decisions about the scheme in the summer, however they have indicated that the timeline for the exercise has emerged as a key theme in the consultations responses and have proposed an updated timeframe for the Exercise with Provider and Student Submissions expected in early 2023, rather than autumn 2022.
Applications for academic and student TEF Panel members are now being taken, with a deadline for submissions of 15 July.
