Community Action Partnership
28 June 2022
The Community Action Partnership (CAP) is a forum for change-makers, community activists and forward-thinkers who want to improve the lives of our wider community.
It provides a platform for colleagues and students to share their work around community engagement, and how their role within our University can contribute to new and existing pieces of work.
The CAP exists to improve, enhance and coordinate our activities related to the wider community.
If you are passionate about improving community engagement, have feedback or ideas on Engaged University or want to learn more about how we can create better relationships, do join us.
Ways to get involved:
- Join the Teams Channel - stay connected and up to date on community related opportunities and utilise the network if you have an idea that needs feedback or support. To join, click on ‘Join Team’ in Teams and enter the code cx0wrbs or message Molli Cleaver (m.cleaver@reading.ac.uk).
- Join the monthly CAP meeting – this is an opportunity to talk to other colleagues about community engagement, whether that be sharing updates on existing projects, new ideas, feedback or you just want to listen and learn more then come along. Meetings are entirely flexible, you choose which ones you want to attend, ensuring this forum works around our busy schedules. Meetings run once a month at different days/times for those who don't work on certain days:
- May/ July/ September/ November - last Thursday of the month 3-4
