Head of School of Humanities vacancy

The University is seeking to appoint a new Head of School of Humanities after Professor Helen Parish announced she will be leaving the University.
The post is now open for applications from internal applicants only, either from colleagues within Humanities or across the University who are keen to develop their careers further by taking on an academic leadership and managerial role at the University.
The post is on a six-year fixed term basis, starting in the Spring Term 2023.
The Head of School is responsible for providing the School’s academic leadership, and also contributes to the broader leadership of the University.

Shortlisting and interview dates
Shortlisting will take place week commencing 19 December 2022.
Shortlisted candidates will be invited to and interview and to undertake a short presentation to colleagues in the School on the morning of Friday 13 January 2023.
In the presentation, the candidate should set out their key priorities for the School, should they be appointed. Following the presentation there will be the opportunity for colleagues in the School to ask questions of each candidate.
